CapeBio™ Uracil DNA Glycosylase (UDG) Enzyme catalyses the hydrolysis of the N-glycosylic bond between uracil and sugar, leaving an apyrimidinic site in uracil-containing single-stranded or double-stranded DNA. UDG is ideal for use in conjunction with all PCR and RT-PCR enzymes, including CapeBio™ DNA polymerases and reverse transcriptases. UDG can be added to a PCR premix to excise uracil (normally found in RNA) to prevent carryover contamination during cDNA synthesis.
