Nicoli Koorbanally has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry (University of Kwazulu-Natal) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) (University of Pretoria). She is the Managing Director of Chakana Consulting and is a registered Technology Transfer Professional and World Intellectual Property Organisation certified trainer on intellectual property management in SMMEs. She was a founding member of the South African Innovation Network (SAIN). Nicoli has held various posts in the South African national system of innovation, including as Group Manager of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research’s (CSIR) Licensing and Ventures Office, and as a Research Chemist at the CSIR.
Richard Fearon is the Managing Director of the Corebridge Group with offices in South Africa and Sweden. The group has investment holdings in a range of high growth disruptive companies spanning Biotech, Green Tech, Renewable Energy, Medical-tech as well as analytics. Richard serves as a non-executive director for a number of early-stage and high growth ventures. As an Entrepreneur in Residence at CSIR, Richard has led teams through pre and post commercialisation of biotech and emergent technology spin-out companies. Richard has been a member of The Institute of Directors for over 25 years.
Keegan Moodley is a High-Performance Corporate Coach and serves as a Mentor for the National Mentorship Movement, while also pursuing his coaching vocation at GROW Business Coaching. During his earlier years as an R&D Mechanical Designer & Project Coordinator at NECSA (Pelindaba), he completed the Reach Africa Mentorship Programme. While he was at global engineering consultancy, Worley Parsons (formerly TWP Projects), Keegan was exposed to Project Execution, Management of Transformation and Transitional Change Management, and he became an internationally recognised Certified Associate in Project Management.
Muhammed Hajat is an Associate Investment Officer, E2, with an Mcom in Economic Science. Together with this financial services expertise, he specialises in performance and compliance monitoring to with the purpose of driving value for the organisation. He takes care of the board’s administrative duties.
