Specimen: Urogenital swabs and liquid cytology
Application: It is a kit for the identification and genotyping of 14 high-oncogenic risk genotypes of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) by Real-time PCR. It can also be used as a primary screening test to identify patients with an increased risk of developing cervical cancer or the presence of high-grade disease, both on nucleic acids extracted from liquid cytology samples and on self-collected vaginal mucus samples.
Description: It allows for detection, HPV 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68), with immediate genotyping. The test was validated according to international guidelines for the validation of HPV nucleic acid tests usable in primary screening for cervical cancer. The analysis of samples using the HPV assay can be performed either following a Nucleic acids extraction, or in combination with Floral SuperLys NA Extraction Kit (FSLLE0100), which allows use with just a lysis step and without extraction. The kit does not contain materials of animal or human origin.
Contents: It includes ready-to-use reagents for amplification, internal endogenous control (beta-globin) and positive control.
